A friend was arguing with minutes ago bout how absurd it is to like your own post on facebook - and i was like why did fb allow the button for posters.
Tell me guys do u also to think its absurd or normal...

Of course it's absurd. What's the point of liking your own post?

Liking their own posts is okay. What about reacting ha ha on their own memes and reacting love to their DPs... ?

liking your own pics , is just like sucking your own duck :D so yeah your friend is right
Aww yeah, I love sucking my own duck with the vacuum cleaner. :smirk:

Are you trying to get me an infraction for trolling the forum suggestions?
No, in fact, my cursor was not hovering over the warn button in anticipation... :anyway:

All joking aside, suggesting that wouldn't be trolling the feedback section if you seriously thought there was some benefit to doing it. I don't know what FB's reason for allowing users to like their own posts is, but who knows, maybe that reason could apply to the forum (eh, probably not).

I find the analogy "Liking your own Facebook posts is like high-fiving yourself in public" to be very fitting in most cases. However, that's not always true. People who share posts about social activism or some type of call-to-action content often like their own posts. Furthermore, calls for donations, and posts about third parties are also exceptions. Nonetheless, liking your own posts is usually a faux pas.

Of course liking your own posts and pictures is absurd. Do you know what is even worse?

Liking and commenting pictures of your friends from 2010. Makes me cringe every time
