Like button. Fan page or web site?

About to create a Facebook like button. For SEO purposes I am wondering which is better to create this like button for.

In the URL box I can either put in my site's url or the site's fan page. (I wish it was both). Which will be more beneficial. I feel Google would rather see the likes on the actual page, since I have no official way to tie the fan page to the site.

Looking for your two cents.

I order likes to both fan page and posts or main domain, for example follow us on facebook and at the bottom of posts like or share this post, mix it up a bit

This is for a hosting company. We wont have posts or a ton of content.

I would add the fan page because when you get likes on the page you can share your news of your website on your fan page and you can post specific offers on the page and drive traffic to your website in the future .
