Lightweight alternative to GA4?

Whenever I add the GA4 tag script on my site, speed goes down by 10-12 points as per page speed insights.
Is there any lightweight analytics tool that isn't a resource hog like GA4?

If you use Perfmatters it has a setting to add GA4 as minimal too, no fiddling with php files. Or just use the Code Snippets plugin to add it, no risk of replacement when you update wordpress in the future.

I am already running around 12 plugins on my site. Adding more might make the dashboard lag.
