Lifehack link still worth getting or over spammed?

Wanted a quick opinion guys, is a Lifehack link still as valuable as it once was or has it lost value in the same way that the Huff and Medium have due to over saturation?

You're always going to find value in a link from an authority site especially if the link is d0follow and not on a platform where ANYONE can link out/post, aka web 2.0's

By that logic, every web 2.0 out there lost value. I mean it's not probably valuable as others like Forbes but it has some value

What I meant is you're going to get more "link juice" from a link like Lifehack than Wordpress, for example.

There are a huge range of prices for links from LifeHack too... what I found was that the actual "author" account page is nofollow and noindex, which means very little of the SEO juice is actually going to end up flowing to your article, its basically just a standalone page on a big site.
Unless you spam the shit out of it, you might get something... but these links are appearing everywhere from $50-$250.

A backlink from authority site is always a plus thing, but dont depend upon them alone for rankings.

Build on trust worthy sites & use high quality tier 2 links back to your tier 1.

With this method in mind it really doesn't matter which authority site your building on as long you have a tier 2.

If you are going to pay a few hundred for a link, make damn sure that it is a real editorial link and not one of those rubbish contributor style links like on Huffpost.

Of course, It has value just like links from other high authority sites. It was a bit tough to get approved before 4-5 months, but it is becoming a bit easier now. Link from Lifehack will definitely add value to your backlink profile.
