Our children and grandchildren will either have a great world or one worse than what we have. What a gamble.

The next 20 years of technological development will be close to insane and will make the previous 40+ look stagnant(1990-2010 should have been such a larger leap forward, it's sad). It's becoming difficult to come up with far-fetched science fiction plots.
