There's different aspects of trading you know. Daytrading works for some. Long term investing also works for some. Either way you make money - depending on your methods. There are many safe ways to invest as well - mining, ICOs. There's just too much money in the cryptomarket. It's unbelievable. My whole trading life (cryptos and stocks) I have lost close to $50,000 but made more than enough to over compensate my losses in return. Charge your losses as tuition. It will be more than worth it in the end.

I strongly disagree with that point. Mining - sure, it's a stable (but relatively low-return) investment. But ICOs are a gamble. Even if you spread your money between 50 of them, still a lot of them will flop pretty quickly, so it's not really that "Safe" in my opinion.

Truth is every investment is a gamble regardless of how safe they are or appear to be. And whatever sounds too good to be true probably is. The issue with ICO's is that 80% of them do not have the ability to change the way we live our lives. Such ICO's are not worth investing in and might sound god in advertising ears but if you think about how their presence really affects the world we live in, you will realize that it doesnt much. I stay away from such ICOs which again I repeat constitutes the majority. But there are the few such as EOS and MobileGo which upon reading their whitepaper you could tell they were going to be gamechangers.
Another thing about ICOs that a lot of people misunderstand is when to get out. Get out as soon as the coin is public. Don't waste anytime holding it. 9 times out of 10 that's the best return you will get for that coin in this bear market.

I agree that an ICO that seems life changing is good to invest in, but not everyone has that intuition that allows him to identify those rare gems among the fodder.
As for the selling, I also think that the best time to sell is in the first few days, because they market place is pretty unpredictable and the longer you wait - the more are the chances that it will flop.
