Lost a good friend today.

Here one second, gone forever the next.

Do yourselves a favor. Get off the computer and go out and embrace life, even if only for a few minutes. Everything will be where it is when you get back.

Because you never know if today will be your last.

We stand on the edge of the abyss, across whose unknowable face we paint meaning so as not to see into it. It is always there. But we?re here too, and we are no less real than the abyss. We are no less meaningful for being transient creatures caught up in something too big for us. There is still value to our lives. I?ve learned that those things that are most fragile are also the most precious.

Sorry to hear of your loss, life is indeed fragile.
A few years ago i lost my best friend, we had been out, got a taxi home and 20 minutes later he died in a car accident.
Ever since then i appreciate life, because it can be taken from you in an instant.
I think this is the only thread where you hope people don't thank.
 
I'll be praying for your friend Sherbert. I'm sure he's in a much better place now.

I know how it feels man...I too lost my father on the 1st of Jan this year...still in a state of shock!
