Anyone else feel like that? My mom just asked me for $117. If she doesn't get it from me, where is she going to get it?

    It sucks.

My mom just asked me if I can give her $450 a month so she can pay her credit cards off in under a year.

    You know what they say...

You can shit in one hand...

and Wish in another and see which fills up first!

Life just fucking sucks sometimes...Frankly I don't see the point to it most of the time. Of course that's why I'm in counseling.

Why would you look at this like it sucks? If I had the resources then I would be more than happy to help out my parents with whatever they needed. That's called selflessness and giving to people that need is a great feeling.

On the other hand, maybe she chose not to feed you when you asked her to feed you when you were a kid?

Sometimes you have to make sacrifices in the short term to live happily in the long term.

Don't ever say No to your mom! How can you be so mean? Refusing to help someone in whose hands you grow up, who took the pain to give you birth.

    Shameless bastards.

What the f***? What the hell is wrong with you? It really sounds like you need to learn a lesson in respect. If your mother says she needs help. You shut the hell up and help her. No questions asked.

Now if you have the money lend it to her. If you don't have the money freelance to get it. Either way you should man up and get her the money.

Unless your mom is on drugs, and the money you give her would go towards buying more drugs, then definitely help her out. If you can't help your own mother out, then there's just something wrong and I feel sorry for you. There's only one like her in the entire world. I have friends who would give everything up to just to be with their mom for one more day... I'd sell all of my earthly possessions and probably even a limb, if it meant helping my mom out.

If she has a spending problem, just tell her you'll give her the money, as long as she agrees not to spend herself back into debt. You could ask her to cut up her credit cards, but honestly that's not logical, as most people need them.

Find a way to get her the money.

WARNING: TAKE THE BELOW WORDS VERY LIGHTLY - DO NOT READ IF YOU ARE AT ALL SUICIDAL AS THIS WILL NOT HELP. I'M NOT ADVOCATING ANYTHING HERE JUST POINTING OUT ONE OF MANY PHILOSOPHIES.

I look at being brought into this world as torture. Think if you were never brought into this world you wouldn't have all this shit to worry about. A lot of people say how much they value life and such... The said truth is your going to die anyways so in the end not much of a point. And no matter how much money you make, the things you accomplish, it eventually just fades away.

Sorry for the depressing view... :) Alas. That is reality. No matter how much you argue it. Even with all the good things life brings you. It would never have mattered if you weren't born.

Just remember, all the bad things in life and bad experiences make you tougher & make you appreciate the good things even more. Going through life without a silver spoon makes you appreciate things a lot of people in this world take for granted. It makes you a better person. Life may suck for you right now, but one day down the road you'll look back and say "you know what, now that I look back at it, I wouldn't change a thing. I needed the pain to get to where I am today."

I'm not saying that's how I feel. Just one of the many philosophies on life that I've come up with. Like I said it's extremely depressing and should be taking for what it's worth no more no less.

No matter how your parents treated you as a child, you owe them all your success/failure. If they beat you and you become a millionaire, well there's a pretty good chance you wouldn't have become one if they loved you.

Anytime I come upon some money I invest 50%, keep 25% and use 25% towards my family.

May I just say that many of the posters in this thread have gained my respect?

I AM a mother. I HAVE had to borrow from my only child. He has also had to help me with things I needed because there wasn't any money left over after the bills were paid. He's married with 2 children, and I've raised him by myself.

I'm not making much yet online, but it is at least enough that I can have money left after bills & don't have to ask him for help, and I live on an yearly income that many here claim to earn in 1 month.

Yea, life DOES suck at times. But the strong survive, and the strong that also care for others will always rise to the top of every mountain in first place.
