Libra - White Paper (Facebook Coin)

Libra is not a cryptocurrency. It does not adhere to the five pillars of cryptocurrency which define whether or not an asset is a cryptocurrency.
  • Open
  • Borderless
  • Neutral
  • Censorship-Resistant
  • Public

This guy gives good breakdown of why Libra is not a cryptocurrency

OMG I was about to comment the same stuff to that guy I heard from this video. Yup, not a crypto. Also that guy got PWNED rekt

(explanation)

"Can't wait for a cryptocurrency with the ethics of Uber, the censorship resistance of Paypal, and the centralization of Visa, all tied together under the proven privacy of Facebook." - sarcasm

I hate this project. And I hate this coin.

Bunch of greedy company's under one roof.
But, hey! It's a blockchain project! :D:D:D:D

Centralized database with strict KYC requirements. Great, cant wait. Where do I upload my passport? :anyway:

Holy sheeman!!! Now if your account gets banned, they will take your coins and give you a middle finger if you complain about it heheh

My dad was talking about this a few days ago. I knew it would have been discussed on bhw already, now I’ve found the thread :-)

Seems interesting for sure. It’s not quite crypto is it? But it’s sort of in the same space.

Don’t know how well it will do, but I guess FB have the biggest user base in the world to get things rolling.

The reality is LIBRA can never be decentralized like other cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin and Grin.
Libra will always be centralized just like PayPal and Stripe. there's no doubt the LIBRA price will hit the roof once released but it won't last long before the price takes a dive.

If KYC is needed, this is a great way for Facebook to farm identities of people. Facebook is having yo much power.

I already bought all the domains related
and all social media username :D

I tried to register a libra related domain on Instagram and got immediately blocked account. How do you go around this?
