I'm confused now.. I don't know if everyone's just kidding, or if people sincerely believe that they're going to be sucked into a black hole in just 2 hours.

Well according to the countdown website, we still got about 4 hours.

For everyone that seriously does think something is going to happen:
While I might not agree with fucking morons who want to re-create the big bang, they're not set to slam particles together for another month. The test they'll be running this morning is just spinning particles around in a circle and it's their (Final tests) before they do their big bang.

If that doesn't cheer you up, Stephen Hawking himself said there's not going to be any real danger and if a black hole does form, it will evaporate before it can even do anything. This was just another attempt by a lot of people to spread mass fear and from a few smart people to make profit off of the masses that do fear

Don't hold you breath they are now saying it will takes weeks if not months for any results they don't want to waste $6 billion do they in a couple of seconds? After all it's all about the anticipation not the actual event.Heard that some where before hey Uptown?

I guess this is a ploy to justify the huge expense and keep a few scientists in work a bit longer.

However...

The science behind this is amazing or so they say. To build this they have created magnets which operate at -270 below just to guide this particle so small you can't see it. (that's f'kin cold just 3 degree's above when they say matter stops moving) . Not sure what use that is in the real world. Really cold beer maybe?

It's supposed to cure cancer, stop polar bears from drowning, solve the credit crunch, and make gas 5 cents a gallon, world peace (sort of) ... Just think one great BIG BANG and no more problems!

Well done Harro for you web page I am guessing but you should good a hell of a lot of traffic and if the "world ends" you can at least feel good for a couple of milliseconds I watch with baited breath.

Thats nice! so the fate of the planet only depends on the opinion of a single man. Remember, this is an "experiment". Noone knows what the outcome is. Hawking saying that there isnt any danger is bullshit, he should stop theorizing.

Personally.. I don't care for Science but I find it interesting. I hate all the use of big word bullshit and all the complicated terms and equations for things. Why can't they just keep things simple?

However, if a black hole does form and the planet is swallowed whole.. then I promise.. I will give everyone on the forum $500 PayPal. If it is not, then everyone on the forum has to give me $500 PayPal. Sounds good to me
