To apply for a business account it says i will need to bring in a letterhead for my business.
What should a letterhead include? as my company doesnt have a phone number. I just use email and a PO box.

Also as ive just started i havent registered my business yet as i havent earnt anything from it yet, will i need to register it before i get a bank account or can i do that after?

Thanks

While I agree that this wiki page is actually a disguised affiliate link I don't think the information is wrong.

If you are not registered you don't have a company. No birth certificate before the child is born. :P
Good luck.

A letterhead typically includes the following;
Company Name
Phone
Fax
Address
Email

I don't know the specifics off the top of my head but if you are going to be generating any revenue over... lets say ... 1,000 you should probably register for an EIN number as you will need to provide this when opening your business account

Oh ok so i need to register before hand then, im from the UK. Also registering as a sole trader under the company will be ok?

Thanks

You will need to open your business prior to setting up an account for it. The bank will require proof of business before they allow you to open an account.

Will i need a number for my letterhead as i dont use one for business

If you're making up the letterhead just for the bank then use your personal phone number. The bank isn't going to give you an account without it anyways.
