This reminds me of a time that my mother hit a little jackpot in vegas and came home with most of it (maybe $1000). She gave both my dad and I a few hundred of it (I was still in high school so maybe 16 or 17 at the time) and then she headed over to Costco to buy new dinner plates with the rest. So dad and I went with her. When we got to the checkout she had her plates, but we all had stuff we wanted in there as well. So we spent her part and kept our own. LOL

This is probably the moment when the partnership must end.

Why?

If you give your 'partner' an amount X, one of two things will likely happen: either your 'partner' will feel unappreciated and think you gave too little, or you will regret giving too much. In either case, a grudge is likely to form.

Therefore, the best course of action is to return the original $50 and announce the dissolution of the partnership (whatever form it was).
