This question has arose quite a few times on here that I've seen, but it hasn't been properly discussed/answered in my opinion. Note that I don't have an answer and I am looking for one. I have spoken to my accountant about this but he doesn't seem to have an idea on it.
So here is the question.
Working with the Amazon > eBay Dropshipping Method, what are you guys doing for sales tax? Are you not collecting it on your sales on eBay? If you are collecting it, how are you handling it? I've gone around to many other DS Sellers I know of to see if they are collecting Sales Tax and they certainly are. It would be completely reckless for them to collect it and not report/pay it to the states. So what are they/you doing?
I personally have collected sales tax in the states that Amazon charges me sales tax in. Being that I started this year I am looking for the correct route to go to file for 2015. I've read about a Nexus in states but have not read enough to get into that. Going to start reading about that shortly.
I am not looking to avoid paying the sales taxes to the states that I collected in but I just want to know the correct process. I know a lot of members on here are looking for an answer as well so maybe someone can chime in who has been doing this for a while.
