Let’s talk about cold calling

Cold calling has taken my interest recently. Is it something you are doing or did? Why or why not?

If you do it and had success, what is a tip you can give to have success?

From what I gathered, it’s not to be salesy, but be a genuine person.

Anyway, I’m curious, because there’s alot of high knowledge people on here and I’m wondering how many people practice this.

Pay attention to real curiosity and listen actively instead of just sticking to your script. Do some research on your prospects ahead of time to show that you respect their time.

You need to not be a salesman that for sure. Be a genuine person, show repspect and always ask for refferals ..... you will be surprised how many peoples don't get new connections because they never asked

Good ones. I watched some people cold call and 9/10 people are way too salesy and it immediately puts the prospect in the defense

I’ve tried it last week, not alot since I had little time, but it’s hard, especially in my environment. It excited me though and it’s a new venture that I’d like to get into. It gets me pumped in a way.

I hate cold calling to be honest. I hate the feeling of getting rejection from people and really frustrated when I'm trying to make the call but no one answer. Anyone can give me tips on this?

Yes, you can earn with cold-calling. Businesses hire cold callers to generate leads or close deals. Best of luck on your interest!

having worked in sales for a long time, do you have to be sales man to sell answer is no. Cold calls its about numbers the amount you call but also who you call no point hammering he phone calling the wrong people. Try to get a list of questions that open the conversation, try to show you have a genuine interest in what their business is and what they are trying to achieve, be human above all as most tele marketers work from a script. Selling is a skill that can enable you to move mountains or sit in squalor the only real mountain you have to climb is the fear of getting on the phone and having conversations with business owners.

My dad is retired and his favorite hobby is trolling cold callers for hours.

I do coldcalling for other closing sales from cold calling hate to do that. I learned their business model how they are working and now I adopt their business model and closing sales for my own business.

I found Cold Calling very great when it's for my own business.

Nowadays, more sales calls are played with recordings, simulating real people selling products or websites to customers. This is more efficient and can make calls to thousands or even tens of thousands of users at the same time. All you need is a powerful set of equipment.

Just do it honestly, you'll get over your rejection fear pretty fast.

True, but all I hear is 'omg its great' or 'nah it doesnt work anymore'. I'm doing it for fun myself sometimes but it depends strongly what you sell and on the niche too.

I think when people say no to what you offer it's best to either move on to the next lead or you're gonna get your time wasted, OR ask more questions to them

Yeah I doubt that will work well right now though.

There's many videos, but all of them are selling their own courses so I doubt they have a lot of success.

I have no doubt it works if done OK, but I have absolutely no interest in doing it myself. I hate doing sales in general and doing sales over the phone with a stranger sounds the absolute worst to me. I think I could do it pretty decently, but it would be really tiring. I'd rather talk via chat or something.

So if you find it interesting and you can stomach the constant interaction with a bunch of strangers, go for it. You will probably have success.
