So I'm realising that the ability to build automated link of some sort is a huge benefit when your doing SEO. Case in point; i've been making a big link push for a keyword im targetting, I have around 25 objects so far and still growing but trying to throw a lot of bookmarks at each of them is proving to be very time consuming.

I was wondering what everyone uses for their bookmarking.

I've considered Onlywire but then realised that by bookmarking all of my link push objects under the same account is going to raise a big red flag, no?

So I'm very tempted to buy Bookmarking Demon. I'm convinced Google is smart enough to know if your bookmarking stuff yourself if its all going under one account. With bookmarking demon then you can create as many accounts as you want to make things look more natural.

    What does everyone think?

    :D

I always bookmarked my own stuff and still noticed a good amount of direct traffic, and I would assume it helped my site overall. I don't think google looks at the accounts which are doing the bookmarking. How could they possibly know the difference between different digg accounts etc and include that in their algorithm to punish you? There are so many different bookmarkig sites, I don't think thats something they consider.

I wish I could agree with you, and you might be right, but I can't help but think that Google is smarter than that, after all, a bookmark clearly shows the user who bookmarked it, you can then follow that link to see the rest of the bookmarks, I don't know, im just speculating but I figure it might leave a big footprint by bookmarking everything under one account.

No you cant get penalized if you have "several bookmarks under one login" but at the same time, dont put all your eggs in one basket. Be SMART..

Your looking at it completely different than what google is. This is where randomness doesn't matter.

When you bookmark your telling google you not only like this "blog" but this "blog" and this "blog" etc.

    THIS is natural...

This is why its important to have everything else so randomly fucked everywhere else. It gives you chance to slack on this step and finish the last few parts of the process..

There was a WSO to join a bookmarking ring. I got in at about $27/m (dont do it now). Basically you created x accounts (7ish I think), then on a weekly basis bookmarked 10 links that were sent to you on each account and in turn your URL would be given to everyone else to bookmark at random times.

I never seen any amazing results though, but now im doing local stuff.

Personally I do believe google would be able to tell if a site was:
Bookmarked from the same user name but under different bookmarking websites. (ie paying someone for 50 bookmarks etc)
Bookmarked and the user was active and lots of other bookmarks in their account (syndication like I talked about).
Just bookmarked on 1 account then no more (ie personal bookmarking).
I have no evidence either way to be sure though.

Personally I think they are good for indexing and you should have a constant stream over time (like all links) from a multitude of places/accounts.

If I had an outsourcer I wouldve kept doing the syndication above, but it got bloody tedious and boring, and I had a lot better things to be doing with my time.

Now, wheres that BMD download thread...

if i manually insert into bookmark sites, i notice that they are follow links when they are in the published queue but no follow when in the upcoming section. i only get paid for follow links, and it seems kinda random as to how stories make it to the published list. anyone know the answer?

I'll be straight up. Don't waste your time purchasing those Backlink makers, etc. Quality over Quantity. Try and get authority domains. Spin articles on a weekly basis.
