Let's talk about Aircons?

Well I'm moving to a new house that I just bought and paid for like 2 years.
What's the most efficient aircon for you guys? The split type or the Window type aircon?
In terms of being silent / energy efficient / all around coolness?

And can you recommend as well brands?

Ive recently moved to Bali never had to use an airco before in my life since i came from Holland/Germany. I currently own a Daikin system. Price was very good around 50.000.000 IDR (3,422.90 USD). There are two central units outside one for the 1st level and one for the second level. I must say they really cool the rooms perfectly, have one in each room and can't complain. During the day however i prefer to keep all doors open so the fresh sea wind can come inside but when the mosquitos come out when it get's darker i prefer to switch on the AC.
