One of my favourite resources when it comes to finding profitable niches and cool sites for learning are


On the first page, you get a nice list with recent lookups. You might ask yourself, who is using a service like ewhois.com?


IM'ers mostly of course.

Hence, very often, there is something special going on with the sites researched there. Either, it can be a profitable niche or it might be something pretty special with the site itself.

Also, you can check out Top 100 Most-Shared AdSense Publisher ID List and the Top 500 Most-Shared Google Analytics ID List.

If one dude have 500 sites shared on his AdSense account, chances are he is doing at least some things right..

I have a bot running which scrapes all those recent lookups during the day. Then I check the most interesting one's out manually.
I am sure you can find your own usage of the site and method.
