Maybe I'm off topic but in the last few month I see more and more people on many forums start giving advices and explanation that are way far from what this industry mean.

In my opinion I thing this is a good thing because with more and more website out there that make stupid mistake G have a lot of work and get away from the basics and so we can still do our work and when changes come we can easy adapt since the principle of SEO remain the same.

Here is what I'm talking about :

And here is an reply to that post

And those are 2 response to this:

This post maybe have no sense but this was the thing that I want to do after reading this... Hope I ca bring some smile

No sure how to reply to this..

Black Hat: Gaming SERPS, ranking your site as fast as possible by any means. Breaking every guideline. (Used to be a ton overnight tatics, not anymore.) Includes SPAMing everything and anything, making non-user friendly sites, pretty much doing whatever you want with no regard.
Grey Hat: Gaming SERPS, ranking your site slower, using various means but breaking a handful of guidelines. Using SPAM but in moderation.
White Hat: Gaming SERPS slighty, but following to almost all guidelines, ranking site naturally with minor SEO. Avoiding SPAM entirely.

You can mix them all together. No matter what, you're doing SEO. Even if you do white-hat only, you still need to do on-page SEO as you can just have a page with no content or titles. Everyone does some form of SEO regardless of how small.

What is bother me most is that is harder and harder to find good advices.... SEO forums start to look more as a share what you have READ more then share what you TEST it or share your solution that work.

I do not want to be rude but did you understand what I try to say? What is the point here...? No offense man.

P.S. If do not bother you I will keep posting things like this on this thread and any one how have something like this and would like to share may post here.
Maybe this way we can make this guys to understand that before you can type you must a lot of reading...

And trust me guys is not my intention to declare my self as a man that know all about SEO (I have my results) but I have the common sense to shut-up and talk from experience and share thing that I test not only read about them...

Your not a guru until your hair gets to an unbusinesslike length, which acts as proof that you don't have to work for the man, ldo.

You may be right about my English.. but can you explain me please why you post on a thread where you do not understand what it is about?

If I do not understand a post do to the spelling or the grammar or I just do not understand what is the OP point then I just do not post or I ask for more explanation.

Yup - if you make money at a task, then you can call yourself a professional.
Whether you do it with a professional attitude........ Well that's a different matter.

    IMO (for what it's worth)

BLACK HAT - Pure BH might have nothing to do with link building per se. It's fake refer, dodgy doorways, cloaked links, iffy financial transactions, websites that put trojans or ad-bars in browsers, taking down competition with hacks or maybe neg seo (if that works long term...something I doubt).

In plain English - pure black hat involves deceit of one sort or another. Whether it's fake refer, dodgy doorways, unethical financial methods, stolen content, trojans or whatever.

GREY HAT - Some link building, but also dodgy marketing, plagirised content. Basically anything that does not add value. It's not dodgy, no-one is obviously or largely adversely affected, but on the other hand you are not really adding a huge amount of value.

In plain English Grey hat is Not deceitful, but overall it adds little to the internet either. It's main aim is to make money with a lower risk profile.

BLUE HAT -So many definitions - but seems to be based on a solid website and a mix of promotion techniques, some clean as a whistle, others using automation. In general many SEO companies use blue hat techniques to promote major industrys. Keep your head down, make sure you see what way the wind is blowing. Be quick to alter techniques and do not invest in anything that seems like it could later have major negative affects. Fast feet, decent content, automation - moderately aggressive but no deceit.

In plain English Blue hat adds value on webmaster owned property but takes liberties and shortcuts in the promotion these entities. Adaptability and quick feet are the defining features

WHITE HAT - Building a solid website and promoting it "personally" only using automation to do things like analyse compeition. No spam* (errmm well see below for my thoughts on that)

In plain English - A very slow method that (and let's be perfectly clear about this) offers little or no possibility for new sites in niches that are semi compeitive or harder. The manual link building (often called" relationship building") is - if you think about it - * just as cynically motivated as Blue or Grey hat...it's just a fecking whole lot slower and puts the webmaster at a HUGE disadvantage.

My fave is Blue hat. Good website, good onsite content, many good solid links made with decent content. Generally automation is used pretty hard but not to the point of excessinve spam and almost always using decent content and appropriate sites to link from.

Why is my fave Blue Hat? BECASUE I have medium or larger sites. It is not the ideal way to promote every website, but for medium to large sites - those that you hope to become authority. it is (IMO again) far and away the best. Micro sites might as well turn on Xrumer, sites with no commercial aspiration might as well go pure white hat.

There is not a "one size fits all" solution

Yeah I know exactly what you mean. It seems some people just hang around on forums all day... yet somehow acquire vast SEO knowledge... I wrote a thread about it the other day, and the disease I call the Repeaties!

    Thank you for that..

This will be a proper answer to the guy question. The guy from my first post

My point in this thread is that I have enough of people thinking they know it all and fill the internet with their advices, advices and ideas that they do not test it or even used they just read it some where...

Domains that rank top 10 for "buy viagra", they are all .edu, .gov or domains registered within the past day.

    That is blackhat.

I'm more than happy to be honest. Almost all those gurus are spreading misleading info about SEO (all those "Last days of SEO" forum threads and other sh*t) - newcomers have a really hard time in getting good resources for learning. This means more pie for guys who know what they are doing.
