Let's Liven up the PPV section

great! how do you find the urls? this is the hardest part for me

I've been using this website: http://www.magicurlscraper.com/ Works well and is free. Im not affiliated with the site, I just use it for PPV urls. I used to use the generator on the affplaybook forum but the $60 membership to the forum wasn't worth it to me.

Honestly I have not tested PPV traffic to build a subscriber list but by going from watching other campaigns there are guys that run email list building campaigns in some high cost areas for months. So there has to be profit in it. I mean your paying around a penny and a half for someone to see your optin form. General rule of thumb I use is to start out a campaign with a budget of around $5 a day for 5 days. Once I spend $25 to see what a campaign does, is or isn't profitable I'll adjust my bid. Only if your spending your whole budget of $5 a day. If your not hitting that budget there isn't enough traffic for your targets. I would then add more till I am spending my whole $5 a day budget.

If your case if your going for list building. Have you autoresponder all setup and ready to send out your sequence. Run your budget and let your sequence end, check your profit. PPV has to be the cheapest and fastest way to build a subscriber list. If your targeting the right urls/keywords. Think about how long and how much it takes to just build a web site, SEO it and wait for it to rank in the organics.

If leadimpact isn't delivering enough traffic for your urls, you could always run the same exact campaign on other PPV networks as well. Or you might want to adjust your campaign to target English speaking countries, they are the bulk of the traffic. Make sure you are adding every URL you can find in your niche, scrape the paid AD urls, scrape the top 50 for each keyword from google, yahoo and bing. Get a big list together and make sure you track it. Add batches of targets at a time, like 60 targets at a time. If the urls aren't making you money scrap the ones that don't and add more targets from the list you've compiled. Keep at that system till you have a campaign full of profitable targets and your gold.

Really helpful OP thanks

Prosper202 is more geared toward pay per click tracking. There are some mods that you can do to it for PPV purposes but I'd rather just use something that is already running and I dont have to install and mess with. Bevo is hosted on their platform and their tech support is awesome. I tend to bother them in live chat constantly. Weird that there on live chat at 1am for tech support but im not complaining lol. Deff has a little bit of learning curve though.

I use prosper for PPV and it works great. You can do anything with prosper that you can do with the other tracking platforms. Plus, prosper is free.

This is the deal my friend, thanks for the information will aboslutley check it out!

thanks for this thread OP!

What is your approach to sort out bad campaigns? Ive read somewhere that a good guideline woud be to keep a campaign running for 2-3x the payout...is that a good advice in general?

is it possible to talk to you via skype or something?

Honestly here is the best way to sort out a bad campaign. I like anyone else hates wasting money on campaigns that don't convert. Bid the minimum on your targets. Don't try to get into bidding wars with guys that are pumping up the bids on a brand new campaign. I spend at least $25 on a campaign before I do ANYTHING. Set it for $5 a day for 5 days and track it all. If you run it for two days and don't see conversions I know you want to tweak it but don't touch it. I'll give you a short guide:

1.Pick your offer and find around 50 targets. I like to bid on URL targets, it gives me an idea of the mindset of people that are visiting the site. Keyword targets are tough with PPV if you use two word keywords, sometimes the network will show your ad even if the user types in one keyword and will waste your budget.
2. Run the campaign for $5 a day for 5 days. If you can direct link it. Don't waste your time building ADs if the offer doesn't convert in the first place.
3. Don't touch it for 5 days and collect data. Track which urls convert and which don't.
4.After the five days if you don't see any conversions there are two options:
a.The campaign sucks and isn't going to convert usually the advertisers fault or
b. Design two pop-up ads and track them and see if they convert for another $5 a day for 5 days if you REALLY want to peruse a campaign.

Now we get to sorting out the campaign after we go through the testing phase. If your campaign is now converting, awesome!
but it can always do better. So track your urls that converted for you and take out the ones that didn't. Add another batch of 50 and continue the process. Keep the good urls and remove the bad. Before you know it you'll have a fully optimized money making machine! Good luck

Well then maybe i'll go first... i am aware of the list of PPV websites but i would be interested in your opinion about them. Which pays the best, pay at all, can be trusted and so on. Any suggestions?

PPV sites don't pay you anything ever... you pay them to serve up an ad for you. you would monetize that traffic however you want.. list building, CPA, etc...

They usually pay affiliates $1 to distribute their software (adware) for them - usually a toolbar or something of that nature. ;)

Hi!

Thanks for the motivation and taking the time to help people...

Some questions if i may:
-are you really using magicurlscraper.com? I get really weird results sometimes:P
-do you make your landing pages 775x400 with LI?
-Is your landing page a one big clickable image?

Thanks in advance,
shout

1. I use magicurlscraper.com now when I need to scrap the top lists. Obviously even know your scraping the list you still need to verify what you've scraped by visiting the sites. Don't just throw them in there and start bidding on those as targets. I used to use the tools at affplaybook forum but the $60 a month for the forum access wasn't worth it to me. It's kind of unactive. If it isn't working out grab the sites by hand.

2. Yup 775px by 400px for lead impact. I'll attach another sample of a lander that I don't use anymore.
3. I usually only make my call to action button clickable but you could try making the whole image clickable. Try it and test it.

Hope that helps ya out.

Forgot to add that the little X at the top I made clickable to go to my offer. Little sneaky trick but works wonders:)

Also guys I see everyone want's to go the way of prosper 202 for tracking. It does work good but when you get into split testing landing pages, split testing popup ads and want to rotate direct linked urls between different affiliate companies you'll see it won't do everything you need. I really suggest checking out bevo and using their affiliate portal to track all PPV campaigns. but when setting up your campaigns with them make SURE you opt-out of the ad sharing network. You really don't want to share your traffic your paying for. There is another program, the name slips me at the moment that is self hosted on your own VPS but its like $300 and that's kind of ridiculous. I'm pretty sure Bevo is free, I think I only pay $20 a month for their support. http://affportal.bevomedia.com/ . Again I am in no way affiliated with the company, I am just making suggestions to everyone based upon tools I use for my own PPV campaigns.

is magicurlscraper not working for anyone else?

Do you use Bevo on your server or directly via their page?

Its hosted by them. Nothing to setup just jump in and start using it. Always make sure you have keyword tracking enabled if your using leadimpact. I might do a thread on setting up and tracking a campaign in the near future. Pickimg targets...etc.
