So I must say, I strongly appreciate the community here and now throw this out here to get some advice from you guys.

I will be starting my normal research queue but wanted to get some quick suggestions on you guys cause I'm out of the loop.

Here's the deal:

I'm now re-partnered on a site I worked on many years ago. The site is not monetizing properly anymore and I want to maximize this now.

About 3,000,000 visitors a month, 20,000,000 pageviews.

Niche is, let's say, entertainment. Totally white hat, established. 99% organic search traffic, zero advertising costs.

Currently re-vamping it and cleaning up some content that got it kicked out of adsense, but not banned. Just temporarily disabled. Told that if content is cleaned, will be re-assessed.

So that's an obvious priority.

What are the best paying ad agencies out there right now? Any other suggestions in regards to monetization?

Thanks.

I'd say check out use buysellads (dot) com. If you have the right type of site you could command a lot of revenue for ad impressions.

Hey thanks, I will look into that. Do they operate on a CPM basis?

Waiting on them - take along time to approve a site. Also waiting on any other suggestions and Adsense!

With that kind of traffic, info links will make you some cash until you can put adsense back on.

I'd be looking at some CJ offers as well.

entertainment monetization... sounds like it's prime for celebrities and content lockers. create an ad in ps or wherever with a famous celeb (lady gaga, justin bieber) pretend to have some really good content on them (videos, pics, embarrassing stuff) redirect to your own domain with a content lock.. just put the ads in a prime location.

infolinks are on - got rejected by buysellads for some odd reason. Emailed them, but not going to pursue it too heavily if I was already rejected. Very odd.

Simply blue - can you explain what you mean by content lock and creating an ad? I don't quite understand exactly what you're suggesting.

Oh, that's a pretty cool and interesting option. I'll look into that, but is it considered black hat by Google, and would it threaten my re-acceptibility?

That's an interesting question... I don't know about that... hit up Meathead as he'll surely know the answer to that.

I do know that guys make huge money using that method for entertainment sites though.

So, just for my knowledge, how do you actually make money using it? Forcing the user to click on an ad? Or what? Because from what I read its mainly to get facebook likes and what not. How do you monetize it exactly?

With a content locker, you use email or zip submit CPA offers and in order to access the content on your site, they have to submit their info.

Once the info is submitted, the visitor has access to the content.
