Let's Do Something Positve For The Community Today

You must be a coder or a wife as that is pretty complicated.

I'm not even going t read all of that as I do not have the ability to comprehend nor retain it.

All I want to do is to make sure that some of the new guys get free stuff and give free stuff to make others' lives in the IM industry easier.

The only point I'll clarify is the date, it is Jan 1st, 2014 but that does not preclude me from giving out some of the freebies in a discretionary manner to those that may not fit all my initial criteria as to their level of "Noobness".

Glad this thread is gaining some momentum, and we got to thank the OP and the contributors for their efforts.
However and PLEASE DO NOT take this the wrong way, but I see this thread "potentially" imploding.
Here are some of the reasons why...
I am not sure about others, but I am as confused as a termite in a yo-yo :)

1). Criteria:

 • New member that joined anytime from January 1st to now.
 • 50 posts that are not just a bunch of malarkey, crapola or silliness.
 • Post how you are going to help someone on BHW even if it is a small way.
"Also, some of you that do not have the requisite posts but are still into contributing positively are eligible as well since there is such an outpouring of good will and great offers."
"Current Freebies (in my spreadsheet) offered to the new folks in the Community that could use a helping hand...... <snip>"

In other words, is this a giveaway for new members since January 1[SUP]st[/SUP] or for more "senior" members?
(by the way, I assume it is the first of January 2014)
The posts thus far seem to contradict one another.

2). Fairness and Suitability:
It would be fair to assume that not all of the "freebies" on offer actually have both the same "real world value" and "perceived value". That is to say e.g. if someone already had hosting, keyword research done etc... then, that particular aspect may be of little or no use to them (unless they are in a process of expansion etc... which I would understand), but then again, is this not designed to give ordinary members a "leg-up" rather than showing some others for perceived greed etc???
Therefore, as part of the spreadsheet and without this entire thread becoming an experiment in multi-variant analysis- may I suggest a "priority wish list" type of thing, (or something similar) to ensure that the member who receives the freebies, will be able to take actionable steps towards getting VALUE from the gifts? This way, more members will be getting the more suitable rewards/freebies.
(this may include a simple situation where the first lucky member gets to pick an item of most value to them etc....) I am NOT advocating that this turn into a manic free for all, or any such like, but more of an observational post to eliminate any potential problems / misunderstandings along the way.

3). Effortless Giving:
Just a note to say that I think that the donating process should be easy and painless for the "donor". i.e. posting a thread link, then monitoring it, and delivering it etc... and closing once completed, and finally posting in this main thread that the giveaway is complete for that PARTICULAR giveaway.

4). Time Management:
This leads to the fact that in order to manage this giveaway, and indeed to satisfy all parties, there needs to be a clarification made as soon as possible to the points made in this post.
This is to assist the OP in their efforts to produce a quality thread, and thus eliminate any future headaches by allowing for a simple task of time and thread management to occur.

I REALLY hope you understand what I am trying to state here, it's for the best both for the OP, the contributors/donors and indeed the recipients'.

Let's keep it going folks. I wish all the best to all for spreading the good Karma.

This is a simple giveaway initiated by BTB...I don't think he is trying to get a Bill passed in Congress or anything. Just let it roll out and see how the cards land...nobody has anything to lose....yet so much to gain.

Not everything needs to be complicated. Nothing an excel spreadsheet can't handle - he's got it covered.

No need to be so presumptious!!!!!
I am neither a coder or a wife, hence no need for you to discriminate, nor indeed be so patronising in your post.
(By the way, I am also an ageing hippie too, so there!!!!!!)
If you do not have the ability to comprehend nor retain it, that is NOT my fault.

As I predicted, you have taken this entirely the wrong way, which is a shame really because it was meant to
a). admire, appreciate and respect you and the other donors, and
b). give you pre-emptive suggestions to help avoid a crisis/annoyance down the line.

If you are taking responsibilty for the "management" of this giveaway, then you should surely take the time to read
the posts in this thread, and the many others which it has spawned (including some resuurected good for nothing shares)
and make things clear for all.

let me be perfectly clear here, I am NOT dissing on your parade, in fact quite the oppostive,
but I do not need the patronising and seniority pushed in my face, especially when I was actually trying to help you and others.

You stated clearly in your posts that this was a community...... well in a fair community, people get respect,
and not pushed aside when they offer decent aspects.... just because it doesnt "fit in " with your criteria,
and whiilst I will fall short of calling out some members in here arrogant, nonetheless it doesnt preclude the fact that that arrogance exists.

pity you dont understand, but perhaps you will refer back to this post in the future after you see what I mean!!

"This is a simple giveaway initiated by BTB" Agreed ....to a point, but to be honest, there is many conflicting aspects as mentioned above.

"I don't think he is trying to get a Bill passed in Congress or anything"... not being an american i wouldnt know what that means
there is a bigger world out there besides america. this is NOT a racist comment either by the way, just stating the facts!!

"Just let it roll out and see how the cards land" agreed :)

"Not everything needs to be complicated." Life is complicated enough!!

"Nothing an excel spreadsheet can't handle - he's got it covered". Time will tell.

You read me wrong and that is my fault I am sure... I apologize you got a bad vibe from what I wrote... part of it was meant to be humorous.

I am merely saying that I am not that smart and can't handle a lot of rhetoric when all I want to do is to see others get some benefits from those that have something to offer and I'll just keep it simple.

It has really nothing to do with you being a coder or a wife, that was a joke, it has all to do with me keeping my life simple and this is a small part of my life so I will be keeping it simple.

Nothing more that than that and again, I apologize I was unclear in my initial response.

I started my thread as well :) I cannot post links but you can find the thread at the freebies section named [GIVEAWAY] Free iMacros Creation. Thanks to BTB for the inspiration.

Please PM me what you want from the list, Tokarev, and I'll be sure to get it in your hands!

Thanks for giving back to the community!

WOW Thanks for this opportunity OP BTB and ALL others, what a lovely idea and hope it gains momentum and a dynamic of its own.

If I qualify, I will personally supply a 500 word article for some deserving member.
Let me know, and I will open a new thread. Thanks

Please PM me with what you want from the list, Clifton, and I'll be sure to get it in your hands!

Thanks for giving something back to the community!

Just leaving this post to let you know I have updated my post above with some more info :)

Dude, please PM me with what you want from the list and you'll have it as quickly as is reasonably possible!

Thanks for giving back to the community!

I'm not sure what I can offer or if I even qualify since I only have a couple of posts under my belt from my journey thread. I am a pretty good article writer though.

So I will offer the BHW community 10 free 500 word articles on whatever niche they want. They would be 100% unique of course as they would be written by myself!

Did you post a thread giving that away on the freebies or lounge section, fiverrr?

I can spin up to 10 different articles with 500 words each for anyone choose by BTB

Did you post that offer on a thread in the lounge or the freebies section, wisdomkid?

I would love to receive the free backlinking service but I don?t meet the eligible criteria regarding post count. As far as helping a fellow BHW members, my first and only post was an effort to help by reviewing a members articles. Anyways, it?s nice of you guys to offer services like these.

Did you post a "give something to a BHW member" in the lounge or the freebies section?

You're eligible if you did!

I'm just shy of 50 posts, but I would be ecstatic if I was chosen. I've been working more than posting
I've currently been burning through php tutorials/lessons/practices, as in, I've been grinding since I wake up til i go to sleep again.
I have my journey here:

http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...-traveling-mansion-life-journey-html-css.html,

How I would help:
I would use one of my various AE intros to create an exciting video introduction for their video. I have different styles, that between them, will fit nearly any niche.
I'd provide keywords and offer effective domain name suggestions.

Obviously, because of my journey,

I'd talk to them if they wanted to learn about programming/web dev. I'd tell them the prominent realizations I've came across, the quickest ways to do things, the fact it's not always the "quickest ways" that you should be focusing on, and i'd guide them through a path that will lead them to build dominating, fast-paced (read: not - boring ) applications.

I'm already creating code that's smarter and more intuitive than the tutorials I'm learning from. I'm approaching 1.5 months in.

I'd provide my resource bank ( online sources: "hidden" forums and websites that are developer's gold mines, aswell as distinguished PDF's )
I've read Mastery by George Leonard, Eckhart Tolle, Crucial Conversations : tools for talking when the stakes are high, Millionaire Fast Lane...
In otherwords, I'd provide some insight on what it means to be "good" at something, tips && techniques that I use all the time on how to make an impact when you're speaking,
I'd open your eyes to the otherside of my focus, where you also learn how to dominate life, not just the internet.
I could never be your mentor, because eventually there's going to come the time where I'd see you become better than me.
For right now, I want to be on top.

Keyboarding, did you post a give away in the freebies section or lounge with the above offer?

If so you are eligible!

My bad! You did post a give away!

Thanks for giving back to the community!

Please PM me what you want on the list and I'll be sure to get it in your hands!

You are the Bomb!

Need 50 posts? looks like I'm not eligible.

You know what?

If you post something and give it away in the freebies or lounge section you ARE eligible!

So, give something away in a thread and I'll be sure to see you get something!

BTB - its not a bad thing being a hippy at heart. There is a beer for you sat in my veggie patch in the garden as a 'good on you', tell you what I'll drink it for you ;)

Nice to see the forum partaking in some hippyness and just being nice instead of the normal behaviour that seems to be more common an occurrence!

Good on you fella!

Long time, Fatboy! Good to see you!

I appreciate you drinking that beer for me... not a lot of people would be that kind... do me a favor though and chill it as I like my beer cold unlike most of the crowd that lives in your neck of the woods... 44 degrees Fahrenheit would be perfect!
