Lets create BEST tumblr BOT ever together!

Hello blackhatters!

Yesterday when I got 50 posts I released my free tool TumblrDownloader.

As you can see its very simple image downloader. I want to enhance it and create full-featured BOT. (and later release paid version too but thats not important for now).

What I want from you? Just FEEDBACK! And IDEAS what should *PERFECT* tumblr bot contains.

What is main GOAL of this? Just to create FREE version of tumblr BOT with enough functions.

I don't know if the current tools have this, but I would really like a way to target -only rebloggers- of a specific post for following. My reasoning being that someone who will reblog that specific niche content will be more likely to reblog yours, than someone who was just momentarily amused.

I only know how to do it manually:

- Select the notes below a post
- Paste into excel
- Then use Text to Columns tool
- Select "Space" as the separator
- Delete all columns after the 2nd column
- Now sort the first 2 columns by the 2nd column
- Delete all rows where the 2nd column doesn't contain the word "reblogged".
- Now all of the users left are the ones that have reblogged the particular post.

I suppose you could also scrape this info from below the notes by using regular expressions (which I've pretty much forgotten after years of disuse.) Target lines in the "notes" section where the 2nd word is "reblogged".

In any case, I highly recommend only following people who are reblogged a post, not just people who liked it. I found I end up getting a much better overall quality of followers this way. Of course, this is only possible if your niche is big enough.

I realized another thing I would really like is something that adds the posts permalink as caption. It has to be done after posting, because only when posting will you get the post-ID

Another thing would be to message people who you followed to follow you back or to check your blog out.

Thanks for the free tool, you can look at all the Tumblr bot that are already out for things to add to the software, there are a lot of Tumblr tools out.

You say the goal is to create a free bot, but you also say you plan on releasing a paid version. Does that mean there will be two versions? I don't understand.

Like I said before its not important right now. Currently I am focusing to free tools.
