    Hey guys,

i'm reading Napoleon Hill's - Law of Success and now i want to create a mastermind group. It's very important to exchange ideas and motivate each other. This will take the business of each other to a whole new level.

So i'm searching for at least 2 members that are interested in building a mastermind group and help each other.

So here is my idea how it should work:

    1. It's not my mastermind group, it's our mastermind group. Everyone is participating and we make decisions together.

    2. We should meet at least every week or twice a month to discuss what we have accomplished, what we can do better, what we plan to do etc.
Meeting on skype or something similar would be good.

    3. Everybody has it's own business. We are not working on the same project. Everybody is responsible for his project.

    4. If somebody get stuck with his project, we try to help each other out with new ideas and feedback.

My personal goal is to create a newsletter and a membership site with 10.000 members á 47$/month. Sounds a lot but to earn big you need to think big.

So answer in this thread or pm me if you need access to a mastermind and have much more success then you ever dreamed of.

Not trying to hate but isn't that basically what BHW is for?

I love Hill's books and now you made me want to reread it but doesn't he advise creating your "group" with people more successful than yourself? Power of association. I just feel if you limit your "group" to 2-3 more people, it would be be kind of limited. I suggest creating a group(here or even facebook) of 10 or so to have a more broad selection of talent to help each other through problems. Not a bad idea though, staying accountable with people will help stay motivated.

Napoleon Hill suggests 5 - 7 people for a mastermind group --> 200.000 members on BHW... how should that work?

    they come and go...

not everybody is online at the same time...

you can't build trust with that amount of people...

discussing every project would take a little bit ;)

so you get the idea why this can't work and a mastermind group is necessary

i think you missed the point and you should reread it ;)

Where are you located? I'm in Oregon - west coast of the US.

Anyway, I know I'm a new(er) member here, but I'd be willing to connect via Facebook or however.

I'm a 31-yo single Dad and college student. Combat veteran.

My membership site is two hours old. Well, I have three main projects - two membership sites, and a hosting company. They all went up several hours ago and over the next week I'll be making changes to various bits and pieces. Replacing stock images/text with unique stuff, etc.

I volunteer with a small business development program at the local college, helping minority small business owners in various ways, and spend alot of time with businesses and business plans. The 3 I've decided to focus on for myself I am super excited about. One especially I desperately need some advice on - but finding people to trust, especially on this forum, can be difficult.

Anyway, not sure if you're interested in me, but just in general, putting myself out there.

This is a great concept and works REALLY well, as proven in countless cases. The major problem here is that to build a solid mastermind group, it has to have people agreeing to work together and not burn each other. There is a select code of ethics and it must not be broken.

To run a successful group, you have to gather a team of people that are self-motivated and are really looking to accomplish something greater than just making money.

The Marketing Mafia boys that Frank Kern runs in, for example...they are all after the same goals:

$ To teach people how to market online.

$ To support and cross-promote each other.

$ To dominate the niche market they are in, by controlling a select sub-niche within the general niche market.

    Examples:

    Frank Kern - Relationship marketing

    Eben Pagan - intelectual/psychological marketing

Jeff Walker - product launch marketing

    Ryan Deiss - subscription marketing

Ed Dales - affiliate contest marketing

    Brad Fallon - product marketing

Rich Schefren - corporate affiliated marketing

Brendan Burchard - expert author consultant marketing - ( Great content but, creating more JOBS than any of these guys, as the business model he has is all about ' you ' needing to run the show to make the clients money )

$ To make money for their businesses.

With this in mind, keep a set of common goals you want to have in common with the people you want to have join this group, otherwise, you will spend your first month battling out the conflictions. Masterminds work so well because you can't just through a team together and forge harmony out of chaos. It comes together only when there is a key common purpose, which can be multi-layered.

This is NOT a bad idea, just be sure that you align yourself with the right people, on skill, personality and potential, as well as holding a concrete interest in dedicating themselves to the group as much as to their own business ventures.

Finally, be sure you know what you are doing with this group and that you establish a foundation of operating chater, system of scheduling, voting, etc...so that everyone is heard and everyone's projects get on the calendar throughout the year.

I am still looking for a mastermind group to join after years of searching...even thought about building one myself, however, it hasn't shown to be in my best interest as yet.

It is not something to take lightly, as one loose cannon with risk dragging down the entire group's reputation and businesses...all because of one short cut, scam or ill-placed crappy comment. Beware " Death by association ", as with the social age of marketing in this leg of the information age growing, it is even more dangerous.

If you seriously want to take the venture on, be cautious and know what you are getting into...it can be a great asset or can fall on your head.

    Just my opinion.

Good plan, but from memory he also talks about carefully selecting the members.

If you just get 10 random people from a forum put them in a mastermind....sure they can share ideas and learn but really it won't get you very far compared to joining a mastermind with already successful people in it.

A large problem with forums and groups is "group think" everyone starts thinking the same and if that thinking it all low quality...

Works best when the person leading the mastermind has already made it and you are in the group with people at your level.

But good on you, I'm sure their are some smart people on here, just do it. I'm in 2 groups right now it really does accelerate success.

Segway: I don't know of that many people that have 10000 x $47 a month for a newletter/membership site. What most people do is offer high end coaching, masterminds, services, seminars, courses etc in addition to that kind of stuff. So with 100 - 200 people you can make much more money. Good luck.

    Hey,

I would be interested as well.. I am having a lack of motivation occasionally.

    I have 2- 3 projects.
One is successfully running which is related to providing SEO service,
I am trying to get in to rep management. The project is getting stalled.
I have an online-offline project in the pipeline.

The thing is Im not pushing myself. I am up for this. But, I think a group of around 7-10 would be ideal.

Update for everyone that answered me and to show you that i'm serious about this:

Now there are 3 - 4 seriously interested people that took action.

I will start this group rather small, making it more effective and to build more trust from the beginning.

Give me 2 - 3 days and you will get more information (pm).

    Best regards

    Hi,

I've been lurking on BHW for awhile, decided to register just so I can reply to this thread.

I don't know if you're still looking to add people to your group, but I can be of great help. PM me and we can chat.

    Thanks,
