Toolbar should be under Yahoo. You don't have to use Yahoo. Firefox will do. Pretty much any other PPI will do as well. This is a very flexible method.

Now, you just need to find a way for you not to get caught and you are set. This could get you $500 a day on sidereel in case you used my method: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/making-money/20090-sidereel-method.html

Oh great stuff! I may well give it a try. I can't see anything wrong with this method of promotion however. As far as Yahoo is concerned I'm only allowing people with the toolbar to view my site. The rest is none of their business.

where do you sign up for firefox monetary affiliate program. I cant seem to find it.

Huge round of a applause for the concept, and the nobel peace prize for sharing it with the community when you could have just as easily of kept it under your dark dark hat.

Here are the questions that come to mind though. I'm making a very safe assumption (correct me if im wrong) that this totally violates the affiliate agreement not only with Yahoo but with CJ as well.

It would suck hard to lose such an awesome affiliate (CJ) even if you can clear quite a bit of change in a short amount of time.

Especially if you're running other white hat campaigns, everything is suddenly at risk.

How can CJ track this back to your affiliate ID ---> domain ---> post?

What can be done to protect your good standing advertiser account with CJ, by masking origin points?

Joining the Yahoo advertisers program is as easy as a one click approval, but if theyre getting a ton of uninstalls and tracking them back to... THIS - I would imagine their advertiser approval policies would become much more strict, and will do away with any real longevity this campaign could potentially have.

When you make a good dollar (or whatever currency) in the white hat world you don't risk that by bringing that source in the BHW.

BH is short term but huge. WH is for longevity.

For me BH and WH excist along each other.
What I make in the BHW, I invest in the WHW.

Thanks a million for the great advice.

While the aforementioned method sounds like something I would really like to jump head first into, I am apprehensive to jeopardize my relationship with CJ. While I'm not generating anything largely substantial, (About 50-100US/month) I would hate to ruin any future opportunities with their affiliates.

Has anyone ever had an experience, specifically with CJ, where BH techniques resulted in a warning, suspension or ban? How strict are they on enforcing such methods?

This really is the only thing holding me back. Hell, I even went as far as creating the landing and link pages for this campaign. (Didn't steal your goods Mighty, and thanks again).

Just weighing out the risk vs reward before blasting.

Does anyone know if Microsoft pays you when people download Silverlight. That would be huge too, since visitors actually need to download it if you use it.

"To better experience this page and for faster downloads please install this toolbar" just by changing the words a little you might be on the better side of CJ

PS any one looked for porn toolbars I am sure there is a market for that where people will go clicking for free porn and have to install a toolbar to get access to some free porn then just redirect them to a ramdom porn site after install.
