Over the past few months, my growth on TikTok has been remarkable, and I would like to share some of my experiences and insights with the community.
I started my journey with a TikTok channel where I posted cuts of videos from viral YouTube channels. However, it did not achieve good results. After posting just four videos, I realized that I wasn't getting good engagement, with only 100 views in total. Frustrated with the low return, I decided to abandon this project.
Later, I created a second channel focused on clips with motivational phrases. This channel performed much better, reaching 200 million views, which was a significant improvement compared to my first project. Motivational content is always popular on TikTok, and I've learned the importance of choosing a niche with emotional appeal.
My last project, however, was the most successful so far. I created a channel that addressed the topic of the war between Israel and Palestine. This content quickly went viral and, in a short time, reached 2.4 million views. This showed that, in addition to choosing a good niche, timing and content relevance are crucial to success.
With a more focused and consistent approach, I managed to reach 157 thousand views in just one month. This result taught me an important lesson: consistency is key. No matter how good the initial content is, if you don't post regularly, the results may not appear.
From these experiences, I learned some tips that may be useful for anyone who wants to grow on TikTok:

Consistency is Key: Maintaining a messaging routine is essential. The more you post, the more chances you have of reaching your audience.

Posting Times are Crucial: Pay attention to the times you post. For my audience in my country, the times of greatest engagement are between 7am and 8am and, on weekends, between 10pm and 11pm. Experimenting with different times can make a big difference in the reach of your videos.

Niche Choice: Choosing a relevant niche with the potential to go viral is crucial. Although motivational videos are popular, more current and controversial topics (such as the conflict between Israel and Palestine) also have great potential for engagement, as long as they are engaged sensibly and respectfully.

Focus on Quality and Relevance: Even if the content is simple, it must be high quality and relevant to the audience. Editing videos, choosing impactful phrases and creating captivating titles are strategies that make a difference.

Congratulations, great job. So, would it be possible to redirect these users from TikTok to a website and earn money through AdSense? Would it make sense? Would it harm the audience?”

Yes, it is completely possible to redirect TikTok audiences to a website and generate revenue with AdSense. In fact, this is a strategy that many digital content creators use to increase their sources of income.
Related Content and Additional Value: When redirecting users to a website, it is important to ensure that the content offered on the website is relevant and provides additional value. For example, if you are posting motivational clips on TikTok, the site may contain more in-depth articles on personal development, exclusive videos, e-book downloads.
The success of AdSense largely depends on the type of content you make and create and the audience you attract. Here are some factors to consider:

Sustainable Traffic: TikTok's audience needs to be willing to leave the platform and visit your website regularly. It may be more requested to redirect traffic as many users consume content quickly on TikTok and may not have the personality to read long articles or interact with external websites.

Location and Audience Segment: The CPM (cost per thousand revenue) of AdSense varies depending on the country of origin of the users and the niche. Audiences from countries like the USA, Canada and the United Kingdom generally generate a higher CPM, so if your traffic goes to these countries, AdSense can be more profitable. In my case, which is in Portugal, it's not really worth it.
