One quick thing I have realized with my team of developers is that EVEN when you start a business and it is not bringing you money right away (which is absolutely natural btw) you would rather be doing THAT than anything else.

It should feel like without your business your life is empty. It should feel like your business is a part of yourself and that you are extending yourself through your business.

This way you can be in it for the long haul.

    All the best!

It's great to see you feel that way, and it is exactly how you should be feeling!

My problem is that I like working on my company too much that I sometimes "forget" to study for my lectures :eek:p:

During my early days of IM, that's how I treated it.

However, I soon found out that it wasn't doing me any good since I was neglecting my health, my family and my own personal life.

I'm in it for the long haul so this will mean I will need to balance everything especially my own life.

Yeap balance is the key - but I look at it like this. As Jim Collins said in Great By Choice one of the traits of great company leaders is that they are able to zoom in and zoom out. I try to apply this to my own life/business.

So there are times when I put everything aside and nothing exists for my except my business - I work on it and push my own limits.

Then there are periods when I just maintain it and even though there is not a lot of growth if at all in my business I can spend my time with my family, friends and just be engaged with life overall a lot more than before.

This is how I balance it for myself and know a lot of other successful people who do so as well but then again different people might have different ways of going about it.

I would love to find out about your method and also thank you for your reply! Always good to be refreshed of what's most important in this life - the fam bam :)

I agree with this idea. Do you and your team have an office or is this purely a virtual business?
Because what gives me the most freedom is the ability to travel just with my laptop. I wouldn't change it for anything else.

Me and my team are members of WeWork.com Community but quiet frankly we don't need an actual office most if not all of it is virtual.

I do enjoy the idea of traveling and working from whatever but in reality I don't think I would enjoy it that much because I kind of want to have a homebase somewhere and from there I would travel around but for short periods.

Also my schedule is such that I wouldn't be able to do MUCH of traveling since my hobbies are bodybuilding and MMA and so I need day in day out training which makes it difficult for me to take long vacas haha

But if I am honest with you I would rather grind 24/7 doing what I love than relaxing/constant traveling - two days off is all I need to recharge. Once again it differs from person to person and this is why I LOVE BHW because there so many folks with different backgrounds and experiences that sharing/learning from one another is extremely fascinating to me!
