Lesser(ish) known cool movies

Santa Sangre (1989) - Jodorowsky's take on a slasher film with a lot of detail and symbolism
Angel Heart (1987) - Noir psychological horror film with tons occult shit.
Don't Look Now (1973) - Horror film with a very silent hill 2 like vibe.
Hard To Be A God (2013) - Russian film, whole point of the movie is that it's not suppost to tell a story but to convey an emotion. Tons of awesome scenes.
Society (1989) - Horror comedy about a kid who gets gaslighted by aliens living around him. Has body horror.
The Interview (1998) - Detectives interview a suspected murderer and end up pressing too hard to get results.
Wag The Dog (1997) - Shady government people start a war with another nation to take away attention from the presidents controversy.

Anyone else have any good suggestions?

I see you're a bit of a fan of horror flicks. I enjoyed the movie Threads. It's a bit timely. It's the Brit version of The Day After. A realistic depiction of nuclear warfare. It's extremely eerie to watch normal life devolve into insanity. To watch people go about their lives while the radio and TV's in the background ratchet up the direness of the situation.
