I have books on Amazon. I have websites.

Let's say I put advertisements for my own books on my websites and someone buys through my website. I reap:

- the money I make off my book
- the affiliate money I make from the sale

In other words, I cash in twice.

Any problems with this legally (or as per Amazon rules)?

Are you the seller of the book on amazon or is it some random company selling copies of your book? If it's you selling the stuff on amazon then I'm pretty sure they'd have a problem with you double dipping, but if it's your book through a vendor then I don't see what's wrong.

If it's you selling on amazon just make the affiliate account in someone else's name and then all is right with the world.
