So, i have just put together a small spam bot program that i wish to run 24/7 sending adds to certain forums. I will be doing this on the smallest scale possible, but i was still wondering what kind of laws i would be running into. If anyone has this info off top of their head that would be great otherwise just point me in the right direction and ill do my own research.

Spamming on forums is not against the law. But against the sites TOS.

So you never heard of Xrumer? Most of the people that have been in IM for more than 5 years would be in jail by now if there was a law against forum spamming :D

your going to see email bans and IP bans but no real legal issues - unless your promoting something illegal and it was worth someone's time to look further into it.

Thank you all for the Information. Do you know how most sites keep track of spammers? do they pay attention to #of messages per minute or something like that?

Also keep in mind that a lot of CPA/affiliate programs will ban if you if they find out you are spamming like that.
