Leaving Footprints..?

Is it a big deal for me to create my Web 2.0s and submit to article directories? I mean, they will not be connected together but will the footprint be enough to give a warning to google?

It will definitely be enough to leave a footprint. Google know which sites are article directories, which are directories etc. and if the only sites that link to you are article directories it will be enough for Google to see the pattern and mark it as unnatural links.
