I took a recent warning from a mod as a nudge to do smething I was putting off for a while.
This has been a long time coming but it's finally time for me to say goodbye to this forum and it's members.

I've gotten a lot of value from the forums over the 10+ years I've been here and hopefully gave some back. However for the better part of a year now I've felt I no longer resonate with the perspective on making money that seems to me to be prevalent on this site.

It seems to me that the paradigm of most of the posts if not the people posting on this site is from the "I have to fuck or be fucked" perspective.

Here's what I mean by that...
What Joe the average BHW poster, as I see him, thinks to himself:

I have to create a [site / social account / video channel / business] to make lots of money
Then I have to add lots of content on it, who cares about value, just add shit tons of content
Then I have to Spam The Living Hell out of it but not so much that I get caught.
Fake Accounts, Fake Ads, Fake Likes, Fake Views, Fake Links, Fake Comments, Fake Reviews, the works...

Then I have to pray each night to Big Brother(Google, Facebook, etc, etc...) so he doesn't swing the banhammer at me.
I'll do that by trolling the forums for other ways to make more and better Fake Accounts, Fake Likes, Fake Views, Fake Content, Fake Ads etc...

I won't even think about the government, taxes, or the legality of what I'm doing... Because the goverment is just here to Steal from me and Rape my future and Pillage my coffers.

Somewhere deep inside I know that what I'm doing is not ok. And sometimes I even wonder, what if there was another way...?!

But just like those born into slavery in the distant past, I can't do it any other way. I can't leave the rat wheel. It's impossible.
So I'm stuck in the trenches, in a permanent fight with my father, the authority figure, Big Brother.

This is how I've come to see what is happening on BHW and I myself felt/feel trapped in that pattern.
So, I've decided to take a leap of faith and as Alan Watts puts it wonderfully to let go completely of ideeas of how things are.

I don't know what's to come as this is unexplored territory for me but what I do know is that I'm very excited for what the future has to offer me. And myself to it.

P.S.: @BassTrackerBoats can you please ban my account? I can't seem to find a way to delete it.

We’re currently holding a silent prayer meet for his banned account, no more questions as to why or what should be asked. What’s gone is gone, may better sense prevail to all.

This is an unofficial BHW auto generated message reply to this is not required

If his unpleasant wounding has in some way enlightened the rest of you as to the grim finish beneath the glossy veneer of criminal life and inspired you to change your ways, then his injuries carry with it an inherent nobility, and a supreme glory. We should all be so fortunate. You say poor Alex? I say poor us.

I happened to have earlier come across a rather bemusing old book of satirised definitions that summarises the OPs observation on the backward way some people do business -

Commerce:

A kind of transaction in which A plunders from B the goods of C, and for compensation B picks the pocket of D of money belonging to E

It’s an affliction OP! It’s not normal. Though i’m guessing the reasons for him leaving go beyond just the behaviour of some members of the forum or the forum in itself.

Gone in 60 seconds

Meh, this is BHW, I've been here since 2009 and although this forum has certainly declined in the past 10 years, the mentality seems to have always been the same.

Mate, I am not a criminal.

You do not need to quit anything to change anything.

I have seen lots of people destroying friendships or careers just because they think you need to quit everything to start over (mostly women).

That only happens in fhe films.

I would recommend you to change your life slowly. When people wanna change their life in 3 days, the 4th day they are tired and they fail.
