Just a note before I start - The "2.0" means my second journey, I'm not going to say my previous Instagram journey was unsuccessful because it's still going, I'm just not updating it, and because I know more now than I did when I first started with IG back in July.
I don't have much of an introduction so I'll just get into what I plan to do, my goals, and when I'll consider this a "successful" journey, because when it comes to making money, there's no destination.
The "Main" Plan -
Build an authority account around my niche (still debating whether or not to say what it is, because I doubt anyone on this forum would really be interested in this, and it's very mainstream), and from there monetize, but isn't that everyone's goal with Instagram (besides people doing IG + CPA)
I'll be doing the basic follow/unfollow method for now because I don't have funds for a bot, along with doing other free things to grow such as commenting on popular pages, liking comments, etc. I'd like to figure out how to get content to go on the explore page because I know that's a great way to grow and some do that.
As for monetization, when my page gets to maybe the 10k mark, I was toying with the idea of a website, I just don't know how affiliate marketing would work with this niche.
I chose this niche because its something that really interests me that I genuinely enjoy. I'm very open to tips and critique from everyone, I can use all the help I can get.
Primary Goals -
Of course the main goal of anyone is making money from their time and effort, so I won't bother listing that.
The definition of successful is hitting all my primary goals.
Okay so now that we have that out of the way let's start with my first update. I'll generally be using this format in all my updates.
Update 1 - Beginnings
Followers: 25
Following: 174
Posts: 11
As this is the beginning, the numbers obviously aren't too exciting. With no budget/funds to kick start the project, the first month or so will be very "slow" per say. The content I use I just get from other accounts in my niche because with my niche I just can, it's nothing special that I can't google.
I'm considering scheduling posts using HootSuite, but that doesn't fully automate it because you still have to manually confirm the post.
Also considering adding maybe 2 more accounts for this niche, but I don't want to get ahead of myself and handle more than I can chew, so with this in my head I'm more thinking quality over quantity, but with 3 accounts, my reach would be bigger. I think I'd be able to handle it but I don't want to kill myself over it. I'll make my decision in a week depending on how my primary account is going.

- Good engagement (within my niche, every post can pretty much drive engagement)
- Being successful enough to open a website
- Working with a brand/company as an influencer
