Learnig Seo

Hi guys i need some help about a course/tutorial about seo. A friend gave me this and i start watch some videos. I realized that those are old stuff and i was wondering if those still work these days.(maybe I am wrong) Those stuff are from 2006 or 2008, not sure. I know google change algorithms and what works now maybe dont work later, etc

I just started learning SEO, so if anyone know about it please tell me if those are good to watch, or need to find courses/tutorials somewhere else.

Also make specific questions what exactly you want from SEO, to make service, to rank your own sites, to learn how to get links, to learn how to work in softwares etc...

I made over $4k last month working P/T doin SEO for local biz
