Don't try to rank a page for more than 2 or 3 keywords.

I had been trying to get my index.htm ranked for 6+ kws and had mixed results.

So 5 days ago, I decided to take 1 of those kws and make a new page. Like this:

"kw".htm
Title: "kw" etc. etc.
Description: "kw" etc. etc.
H1: "kw" etc. etc.
Body: 450 word unique article about the kw (many links to the home page where I sell the product).

Built a small linkwheel of web 2.0 properties. Wrote an ezine article. Indexed those properties using Yuki's RSS trick:
http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...al-how-get-your-backlinks-indexed-fast-3.html

Reached the first page today for the kw.

I've never had so much success in such a short time.

So if you're struggling w/ a kw, make a UNIQUE page just for that kw and Google will reward you.

I agree. Focus works... related keywords != focus.

;)

Awesome!

It kills me how simple it is - but often times we over complicate things... :wizard:

This is nothing new. But nice to see that you had success in a short time. Just do it now with the other keywords as well. But be aware... the more competitive the keyword, the harder you have to work and the longer it takes to get high rankings.
