What do you think is more profitable in the long run... buying a linkbuilding service or buying linkbuilding programs (SB, AMR, etc.) and learning to use them?

Obviously buying services saves you a lot of time, we all know time is money. Plus, they're professionals who've probably done it hundreds more times than you.

Buying software and learning them might be more cost effective, but will cost you a lot of time in learning to use them right to get results? Maybe you might fuck up your websites in the learning process too?

    What do you guys think?

Learn to use the programs first. That way you know how they work and how they help your seo. And you can use them EXACTLY how you want

Then once your are making hundreds of dollars a day and no longer have time to run the programs yourself THEN you pay someone so run the programs for you

That's what I did. Now I mostly outsorce but I still have SB AMR BMD and xrumer running pretty much 24/7

You will learn from your mistakes. If you wish to buy a any linkbuilding software. Just think about what you need. Because Sb is best for commenting, amr is best for article marketing xrumer is best for forum posting and profile backlinks and senuke is best for web 2.0, social bookmarking etc.

If you have enough money to invest I would only buy services. Your production will be much much higher. I hate using the tools it is tedious and boring ;)

    Cheers

Invest in services, read reviews of what WORKS.

If, after figuring out what really works and you want to SCALE. Meaning you aren't only building links for one site, then by all means look into acquiring the software that is used for the linkbuilding tactics that you've purchased.

Be methodical when you are planning your backlinking campaigns. Monitor rankings closely, monitor backlinks, and then reevaluate.

I will say that a large majority of users that ARE building links, shouldn't be and should be utilizing services.

For me, I've found I need both.

I've only started using software recently and the requirement it meets for me is to build links on a consistent basis.

I used to solely rely on service providers, which requires a lot of effort too. Sifting through all the forum threads, testing out providers, finding ones that work well was tedious. Usually, the projects aren't for ongoing work. It's like a 4 week project, let's say, so with time, you will need to find another service provider to refuel your site's link juice.

What I do now is use software to get my pages a decent rank. Then, I spot pick services to give it the nudge it needs in the SERPs.

It's a mixture of both for me. I buy services and if they work I'll buy the software and start to use it myself.

Used to use software but because of the software monthly rental, proxies and captcha service. It just turns out to be cheaper using services.
I guess unless the volume justifies the cost it would be better to just rely on services.

Interesting, I think I'll go with services. I already bought AMR, which I think is a decent tool... I might use it for minor keywords and use the big gun services to attack my main keywords.

I think it matters how much free time you got, if you got alot of free time on your hands, do all the link building yourself, if your a real busy person, sub it out, but i think in the long run you'll make more money and become more wiser, if you do it yourself, basically it's the thin line in having a life and not, lol

To be honest if you have enough time and little cash you should buy the program's and do it yourself, BUT program's are normally limited to a number of sites which become heavily spammed over a few weeks, so you might find yourself constantly buying and learning new program's, which I'd you just bought services you can constantly buy the new services which work for you.

I do both too but started out with ONLY services. I find that most of my tools are sitting down there collecting dust, except for only 1 or 2.

I have a LOT of experiences with services. I can go on and on about it but I won't. I have tried about every thing on BHW and other places. All i can say is that the expensive ones are NOT always the best. You need to trial and error and will likely spend some tuition fees on this along the way.

There are some outright scams out there targeting newbies and are still popular as hell. These providers really know what they are doing in terms of marketing. I refrain from talking too much about them, as these may be the livelihood of some ppl and I don't want to be the prick that spoils it for them.

Learning tools and software is a good idea for you to know how easy some services can be provided, or conversely, how difficult some others are. This can help you understand and evaluate which service is worthwhile and which are a total rip off. A simple example would be if someone tries to sell you 100 SB blog comments for $100, you would be knowledgeable enough to tell them to F*ck off!

    Just my 2 cents!

It really just depends on what your trying to rank for and how many sites you have. I personally do both but found that your definitely going to end up spending more money with services, especially blog/article networks if your anything like me and hate writing. I spend a lot of money on content creation.

i think both are very important. When starting SEO, make sure you are creating a big diversity. Concentrate to build a website with high quality content first, then start building all sort of back links. To rank high you need just about everything you can get

I would say it is best to nuy the tools learn to work them well and then start offering a service with your tool. Dont just stick to one tool, get a few nd then offer a package deal,

This way you are sure to get the best result for your own needs and at the same time make a good return on your investment
