Learn how to take over old Facebook groups

So I had a group on Facebook with around 8,000 members, then my account got suspended. I assumed the group would just disappear after a while, but I checked a few days later and someone else was now the admin! Maybe already knew this was possible, but I didn't. So, if you spot a group with no admin, join it, and then simply become the admin and then you're free to spam away. You can find them using Google, just search for

Code:

site:facebook.com "There are no admins left in this group!"

You can also add some other stuff to help you find the bigger groups, such as

Code:

site:facebook.com "There are no admins left in this group!" "of * members"

Of course, some of these groups are old, and were indexed ages ago so chances are they'll now have an admin. So, use the additional Google options (Click Show Options), and click past 24 hours or recent results. That way there is a good chance it will be free for you to take over. This is probably old news for some people, but perhaps it'll help someone out there to make some $

I'm not seeing an option for being able to appoint yourself to admin either.

Go to Groups, then click "See all of my groups" and you should see a Become Admin link below the one you just joined.

they changed the rules since yesterday. no more becoming admin to an unadmined group. at least for me it doesn't work. Can anyone confirm it?

yes they did. It was really nice as long as it lasted though. For me only 2 days. But yeah really nice. ;-(

yeah, this hack received alot of press a while back. it was widely exploited and facebook was probably forced to fix it because of the bad press.

I don't think , facebook learned it from here. They were aware of that "hole"and it was a matter of time to fix it.
I was very unfortunate though. I was preparing a script for a week in order to get administration over those THOUSANDS unadmined groups. The day I was about to run it they changed the rules . FUKC !!!!

Articles about this were posted many times but Facebook never did anything about as not many people still knew about it.

When it's posted on most popular blackhat forums they know what's going to happen. So they finished with it.

But anyway, I can't understand why people post a stuff like this. This was a gold mine for people that knew for it, some things are just not for open public.

This hit me like a stone as I was one of rare people ( I believe only 2 or 3 people had a code for that or atleast that number of people used it regularly) that could take any group that doesn't have admin, regardless of it was ready to be taken or not. Now, it's all screwed but I guess it had to happen once. Damn !!!

yup i too was one of them people that knew how rare it was n shit so i kept it on downlow.. people must realise that yeh this board has eyes. and some shit just shouldnt be posted.

then others ask why shit dont work anymore....

I am all for sharing information and tricks etc. But some things are not for sharing in public. Not because we are greedy or want to keep it all for ourselves but to keep the method , trick alive. The fact is that this will not be working for anyone anymore.

Well heck, was good while it lasted but this is just clearly ruining it for everyone

And Im not being harsh or critical. I really do appreciate the OP's motives and his desire to help, but unfortunately it doesnt help anyone

This hole was fixed by Facebook several days ago, it's not like they saw my post and thought, shit, we better fix it now. I've not tried to take over any groups for a while, but was just speaking to someone and it stopped working for them over a week ago. So, I guess i should have doubled checked it was working when i posted the method, but please don't think I was the sole cause of Facebook fixing it, because it was actually patched days before.

But, lesson learnt!
