Exactly the same on a Mac.
Either use the node installer (best for newbs), or you can install through homebrew if you wanna reduce dependencies on ~/system (best if your already a developer in other languages)

Although i hate coding and can't kept my mind into it, started numerous times to learn it, used almost every developing tool like Visual Studio, Dreamviewer,Eclipse etc created few projects too.But i think it is really not for me.
But
This was a nice tutorial, easy just took me less than 5 minutes to output the results, because the code was already written.and also well described. i will be glad if you kept on going and make this thread alive.
I will follow the thread from now on.

I hope you will continue this and make even more amazing threads!I would suggest to write 'Lesson 0' where you will explain in short and to the point what are the most popular programming languages today, especially for web development and their pros and cons etc.
