I am trying to learn about this backlink, https://storage.googleapis.com/. I am finding it on a lot of competitors websites recently added. Is this any good.

You shared the link that is associated with Google cloud storage not a backlink. Competitors use it for hosting files rather than SEO for backlink authority form my pov. You can analyze your competitors website using semrush or moz or any SEO tools.

I see, I used ahref and found websites built off this platform backlinked to the main site, is why i asked

I completely agree with you. They got those backlinks for hosting files or cloud purposes.
