From my observation a lot of people come to BHW looking to start an SEO business but don't know the first thing about it. If you have zero SEO experience then you shouldn't be selling it to other businesses. Business owners, especially Physicians, aren't going to be paying you for long if you don't get them results.
You should start by reading many helpful guides available in the
White Hat SEO section, learning the terminology and tools, etc. Once you feel comfortable with this then you should approach one or two physicians offering to do SEO for free. I know this sucks but proving yourself goes a long way. When I started out I did free SEO for two businesses and they're now paying clients and allow me to use them as referrals.
In terms of acquiring clients, this niche is extremely difficult. One big thing a lot of people don't realize is that physicians get cold called/emailed 24/7 by pharmaceutical companies so the Gatekeeper is almost always going to deny you. As well, depending on where you live your services might not be needed. I live in Canada and majority of physicians don't have a website because patients usually just go to whoever is closest because it's free for a check up and whatnot. I would however recommend marketing towards specialists like a dermatologist as they get huge money from each client.
I don't want to discourage you, but it can be extremely hard. I would say for every 1 successful SEO business, 10 fail. If you spend the time learning and working hard, I believe you will do amazing. If you need help with anything feel free to reply or send me a private message!
