Lead gen site for plumber

Hi all.

Couple of quick questions can anyone point me in the right direction for the following:

- How to track phone calls and emails for evidence of the leads
- Does anyone have some template contracts for selling lead generation?
- How do you backlink to a lead gen website compared to a normal website?
- What is a lead to a plumber worth? and dos anyone have a list of what leads are worth for various professions?

We use callfire for phone tracking. $1/mo per number and 5 cents a minute with call recording. Backlinks should be the same, you still want to be #1 in the SERPs.

you could just integrate twillio or tropo, and just build a tracking script that:

upon call, $trackCalls +=1
redirect to your real number

tropo is free, requires no money, and costs absolutely nothing to get started.

The plumbing world can be brutal. As far as cpl or cost per lead. You have to know what type of leads they want. For example, if its a lead to install a tankless water heater, well that job can go for 2500-4300k on average. If its a drain call, those usually average 65-140 a job. I know adwords has a call tracking feature,, i think, but if you just add google voice number, u can track it. A good way to gauge what a lead goes for is to see what that would cost you on adwords.

Backlinks are the same. Consider a phone setup like 1800contacts/dentists as well if you're going at it for a strong brand and not just an SEO arbitrage angle

I have a number of lead gen sites,with some in the plumbing industry. You can use twilio and a phone tracking script. I have my own but there was one floating around in the download section of this website. You need a good, but not over the top, lead gen site, which you can also find in the download section. Grab a few EMD's if you can (make sure you use phrase match). Most import part to any "local" lead gen site is a google map! (if you need maps I can set them up with no address needed I charge about $10-$15 per lead. I have a VA go through all the calls from all clients at the end of each week to verify leads.

Call tracking. Advanced Call Tracking and Twilio. It records the phone calls so if they say a lead is bad you can actually verify it.

Yes but they have my branding. Google it. You'll find a ton of them.

Same. Use a lot of different keywords (longtail). Use PPC.

Depends on the plumber and the area they do business in. I have a list of all the prices ServiceMagic charges, but I'll be damned if I can find it. I forgot to answer a part of question 1. For email evidence:

If you use a contact form, a lot of contact forms allow you to send emails to more than one recipient. Add yourself, CC or BCC yourself on all the emails from the lead form. To make it easy, what I do is in Outlook I create a new folder, then all emails from the contact form are directly sent to that folder so it doesn't clutter up my other email addresses and I don't have to waste my time moving those emails out into another folder. It doesn't necessarily have to be Outlook you can create new folders with most mail services.
