Hi Guys and Gals
just wondering what your thoughts are on a plumber website that has many locations and ranking the location pages.
now i started off with 1 city page and that after a year (i know super slow but tiny budget) is ranking page 1 for a few KW''s and 2 and 3 for several more. Now thats fine with more links that will naturally rank higher.
So now it has got to this point - i am going to create more city and town pages and its going to have duplicate content on to make it easy to make the 500 pages for every town and city in the uk. There will be some difference on the pages - all the mentions of the place will be changed for each page, each page has a different phone number and a few different reviews for that particular plumber in that city.
so what is the best way to get all these rankings because google will probably not like 500 very very similar pages.
this is what i have done so far
social fortress with web 2.0s and social profiles and profile links (probably about 200 in total but most aren't found by google or ahrefs as half of those are new)
directories
a few PBNs
is it just a case of power - so if i send enough PBNs to the home page the inner pages will rank - i don't fancy sending PBNs to every single city and town page thats a lot of PBNs
also when i send PBNs to my homepage say for example 'boiler repair' will my inner urls get credit for that to so i can send a few links with 'boiler repair' and then every page will rank for boiler repair in the city or do i have to target each page with links for each keyword.
my plan b is to just rank the homepage instead as that is where the power is
my plan c is to rank the service pages because they have 1000 words content on unique compared to rest of the site
also as a sidenote
my domain name URL has plumber in it
will having this inner url be over optimisation because a lot of links going to the site will have some form of plumber/plumbing/plumbers etc in plus in the content there is a lot of those keywords - there is a lot of content on each page so those plumber type keywords is about 4%
/manchester-24-hour-emergency-plumbing-service/
would it be better to make it
/manchester-24-hour-emergency-service/
