Lead capturing - is this worth anything as a product/service?

I used to work for an SEO company that Google ranked in the top 10. We did custom sites, ppc campaigns, landing pages, etc. At one point, we had a client that wanted to capture the data a user was typing into a form even if they didn't click the submit button. This intrigued a lot of the account reps and so the dev manager approached me about building out a solution. Unfortunately we didn't end up building anything.

But last year I went ahead and built out a solution that does exactly what they were looking for. The product is a script that you apply to any page with a form. The script captures the data and stores it in a database on my servers. The users (my customers) can then login to my site and view various reports on the data or just download the data for offline processing.

The goal was to not only capture potential leads without them needing to submit their info, but also to examine what happens with the forms and where users are dropping off, generate statistics on the fields, completion rates, etc. I'm sure there are other uses as well. It's like a 2nd chance to capture a lead.

My questions to BHW is, is this a product worth marketing? I've contacted my previous SEO contacts, but they either are not around any more or do not remember what I'm talking about, and don't have the time to talk to me about it.

Yes... If you already have this mostly built, you will DEFINITELY be able to sell this to agencies, and those who do tracking..
Drop offs are an important measure, and if you have partial info, you can retarget as necessary (if needed).

Just cold call a few agencies with a demo..

It's fully built out. I only need to make the site look nicer and add more reports that they might want to have. I'll see what I can do with this then.
