Lead capture software

I looked around but couldn't find anything. Does any have a decent lead capture software or a system that they use for gathering leads for something like a local business?

what exactly are you looking to do? Capture the leads from a website form and have them go into a lead system?

yeah. I'm just looking for something simple that could be self hosted and free because it should be fairly simple.

try phplist you can install it through cpanel, and just have an opt in form on your landing page

Not sure your skill level and what you are looking for but I use a Joomla website that is hooked to SugarCRM.
when an interested visitor fills out my contact form it goes right into the SugarCRM system as a 'lead'. The Sugar has all their contact info filled in and ready to go.

Pretty professional. The only real expense as Joomla and SugarCRM open source are free is a $25 plugin to make the Joomla to Sugar connection work seamlessly.

I also get an email of the contact form sent to me as well. You can then just log into the Sugar and start the person trhough your sales process.
