not exactly5 years ago I'd have said Plasma... now I say LCD
10 years ago I'd have said Plasma....5 years ago I'd have said LCD, now i say LED ftw

i have had both. and i can say i prefer lcd. brighter, clearer picture. right now i have a 50 inch plasma and hate the glare and ghosting (not the cl kind) but am going to get a 55 inch led pretty soon.

Go with LCD, Also 3D LED (is on the pricery side)

LCD, the plasma has a better picture but doesn't last as long as a LCD does, and it tends to burn a picture in the tv so you would have to do a pixel rotation. oh, it also puts off huge amounts of heat.
so if you want to heat your house in the winter with your tv, go with plasma,
but if you want it to last longer and have no problems, go with LCD. then again,
my TV's never last over a year or 2 because i usually get a new one ever year, or every other year

Whichever one you can afford a big one. I would get something like this if it were me!
