I might as well mention it now since you asked. Off page seo in my book isn't really that important if you're getting lots of visits to your site since we're targeting low comp niches. If I feel like I'm missing out on some traffic because I'm not ranking well I'll make a few web 2.0's and point them to the page I want to boost, then I'll build blog posts to the web 2.0's, and then social bookmarks to the blog posts. I'll show this in more detail later in the thread. This will be one of the last steps to my tutorial.

Forth Step- Content
Content will make or break your site, you want visitors to spend a long time on your site and you want your visitors to visit another page of your site. If you write your own content you will save money and you will probably have a low bounce rate, you will need to research your niche thoroughly and make sure all of your information is correct.
This is what I do when I write articles
Research the article topic- lets say I'm writing about Nike shoes, first I'm going to research a little about nike shoes and find out some information. After a little bit of researching I've discovered that nike shoes are made in china, I probably wont mention that, they're used by pro athletes and this is what people want to hear so I'll mention that. Next I might compare nike shoes to adidas. You want to fill your article with good rich information, try to compact it since people don't like reading essays about shoes. I usually try to make each article 500 words, because people want to find out information but they don't want to spend 10 minutes reading about nike shoes. If you cannot write 500 words of information rich content then it's time to add fluff. My favorite part about article writing is fluff, it's so easy to fluff up some content. The tricky part about fluff is not to mention your keyword too many times, I like my keyword density to be under 2%. Here's an example of fluff.
Original sentence "Nike shoes are a very popular choice amongst athletes" Fluffed sentence "Nike shoes are a very popular choice amongst most professional athletes, Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, and Tim Tebow all train with nike shoes" As you can see it requires a bit of effort but it's easy.
If you're lazy and don't like writing content and don't mind spending a little bit of money then the following is for you
Lazy Mans Content- If you don't like writing content you can spend $1 per 100 words, $2.50 per 100 words, or even as much as $5 per 100 words, if you're spending $5 per 100 words on good content that's $25 for a 500 word article and you can only hope that it's as good as you want it to be.
Here's what I do
First get an article spinner, personally I use word ai, you can use scrapebox and scrape a ton of articles then import them into word ai wait a few hours and all of the articles are spun, I use the turing spinner since it provides a better quality spin, it's a bit expensive at $50 a month but it's worth it. The turing plan will let you spin 250,000 words of content, for me that's either 1 large site or up to 3 medium sites. Right now you're probably thinking "Thats it? Spun content? that'll look like garbage" and you're right it probably will, wordai is pretty good but it's not perfect and wont replace human written content. This is where fiverr comes in. You can use any freelancing site. So on fiverr the person I use charges $5 per 3000 words, there are people that charge as much as $5 per 500 words and as little as $5 per 5,000 words, you'll have to try them all out and see which one works for you. Now lets say that you pay $5 per 2,500 words, and you have 250,000 words of spun content. This means you'll have to buy 100 fiverr gigs that's a total of $500. You might find someone who will proofread 5,000 words for $5 and you'll only have to spend $250. I know that the budget is only $200 but that's because we're only making a 50,000 to 100,000 word site. I'm just saying that for $550 a month you can have 250,000 words of quality content. Of course your luck may vary. Personally I've had success with this it works great, and if you're not lazy you can proofread the content yourself and save some money.

Interesting approach for getting articles. Should each article target one different long tail keyword? How do you get/analyse that much keywords (for a 100.000 words site) on a single niche?

We're not making micro niche sites, so it's not like you have a site on lawnmowers, it's more like you have a site about lawn care and lawn mowers would be a sub niche, kinda like a silo but not a silo site. Each article should target one main keyword, so maybe you have one article on weed trimmers, then another on leaf blowers, then another on the different types of leaf blowers and the advantages of hand held vs backpack. And we're not building this site in one day we're building it in one month.

I'm interested in seeing... if once you GET the traffic and the CTR up for your site,... if the CPC will ACTUALLY BE anything around $1.
Example: I have one site ranking #1 in the SERPs optimized for a keyword phrase with Medium Competition and a $40 CPC on the Adwords side. Yet my CPC on the Adsense side is only $0.39 cents per click. Horrible. (and this type of instance is becoming more and more common)...
Adsense has been notorious lately for diluting the CPC, even on the most well built and optimized sites.
I hope it works out! will check in periodically...
