Layer 1 Web 2.0 Manual or Automated?

Ive heard many people say both ways are fine.

Their is a one method i read on BHW where you manually submit over 100 web 2.0's with spinned content, 4 images and a youtube video with your link. Apprently a very easy and safe way to rank. Very time consuming.

yes senuke can also submit images and video. im doing the layer 1 manually because i want to have a personal touch on that, i want those who would view those layer 1 sites that the owner is not a bot and is a real person who can comment on someone's blog, can be a follower, a subscriber and a friend who you can chat with. By doing this you can also gain the above mentioned people, and we all know that the more follower we do have the more chances that the link on that layer 1 sites would be visited.
