That's Arizona for you. If the weather wasn't so nice I think I'd move to someplace that wasn't so restrictive on your civil liberties :D
 
This is the law in a bunch of EU countries - especially the UK.
 
everything is geared towards companies. a big company needs nowadays a ton of staff to do the "reputation" management. they don't want to pay for this anymore. so they force a law to prevent it somewhat.

now they don't need 25 people doing social media management and stuff, they just need 1 good service to track their "brandname" online and their layers prin/send the bills...
 
25 years..... for a MISDEMEANOR? lol.... Here in OHIO, the max jail time for an M1 is 6 months....

That's interesting and I didn't know that. I've always thought that people who live in EU countries are a little more tolerant to this kind of stuff. There's what, like 500,000 cameras in the UK?

...just as NikosX said: it`s not about people trolling some forums or threads about average rant. it`s about saying something about a company or "perhabs" some government (which could be a decent factor...maybe...who knows) and to get them shut down legally.

as well as i can see a whole bunch of dumbasses bombarding the fed`s with claims about being trolled in some forum...

this is so crazy - but we will soon read about the effects of it. because after this decision there has to be shown to the public what this really means.

They just put a guy in jail for tweeting offensive stuff about a footballer that got injured. Not that I would come to the dude's defense for what he said or anything.
 
...just like trying to get some dude into prison for hacking "celeb"-mail-accounts and stealing private pics and stuff.

No way? It's one thing having some obscure law.. There are a lot of them in existence, but actually sending someone to JAIL for tweeting on their personal twitter page about someone they dislike. That's a serious violation of civil liberties and freedom of speech.

Jail time seems like an intimidation and threat. So does this mean that any official in Arizona will go to jail for posting a threatening law like this (or any law) online?

Ye, I think it was mainly down to the racist comments he used over the general trolling. It was aimed at a Premiership Football (soccer) player who collapsed on the pitch from a heart attack or some kind of heart issue. Has been big news over here for the past few weeks.
