Hi all,

A few days ago i launched an uncensored beta version app on the IOS and google play AppStore.

The technicalities of the application is taken care of. At the moment I am entering a phase I am completely new too. Marketing an iPhone app.

Where can I begin with my questions...

1.) Should I work on AppStore SEO? If so, how can I start?

2.) Any softwares or tools I can utilize for app analytics? From the initial cost of the impression to their everyday app activities?

3.) What channels of online ads should I pertain most of my time on?

4.) Will joining an affiliate network as a brand be a possible route to take? If so, will any networks allow only specific geo targeted areas to be accepted?

There are endless of questions to ask, much pointers to receive, and lots of advice to accept.

Anything will help, this community has been awesome in helping others, leading them in the right direction.

Thanks:)

First of all, congratulations on your submit, I know how hard it is to make a usable product.

Secondly, I'm not an app dev so I cannot give you guidance, however I did know that traditional app reviews in websites have been loosing popularity amongst the app industry in favor of pay-per-install campaigns. (You can read more about this in TouchArcade's website)

However, you may choose to go for the "low hanging fruit" and try it anyway. Big magazines generally have a section for mobile apps, for example TheNextWeb. If I wanted my app to have some buzz, I'd definitely check that option.

Congrats OP! Performing ASO is important to promote your app. ASO helps to drive more traffic to your app’s page in the app store, so app searchers can download your app.

Here are few factors to consider while performing ASO,

Perform ASO by optimizing each metadata element (app title, description, keywords, screenshots, etc.) as it helps to increase your app’s visibility.

  • Write catchy titles and persuasive app description
  • Design the perfect eye-catching app icon.
  • Add screenshots of your app
  • Keep monitoring your ASO
  • Ask your users to rate and review your App. The more positive reviews and ratings you get, your app is going to show high in the search results.

Thanks for the pointers.

@rafark Press release is definitely ideal. Thanks for your input.

Try appannie or sensor tower for using keywords in ASO.
