Latest techniques to build Insta

I've been quite active on Instagram for a few years now and I'm keen to keep my fingers on the pulse.

My business account is around 20k at moment which I've built up with the usual hash tagging and following and unfollowing.

For last year or so I've been dabbling with a popular automated system with decent success.

I see other competitors shoot past me only recently and I wonder if I'm maybe missing something. Content is very similar to mine, shiny cars basically, and they are accumulating around 1k followers a week at least. The followers and likers all appear genuine.

I tried buying shout outs a couple of times only to be stung. One account in particular had 4 million likers. I was very excited to see my video clip go live.... it got 2600 views. I was a little deflated.

One of the things I don't really practice is posting at specific times, or doing x amount per day. I generally just post when we capture new content and I get time. I could make a change to this approach if I thought it would help.

I don't know how good my hash tags are, probably have room for improvement. At moment I try to include tags with a mixture of popularity in the hope I might make one of the little featured boxes for a lesser tag, then maybe it could catch onto the next more popular tag. That was just a theory I try out.

Any tips would be really splendid.

Are you using any tools for automatically following and then later unfollowing?

In terms of content are you posting once a day or less? Highly recommend you make sure you do at least one post a day

Do like that, and use the Later App to schedule and remind when to post

For content idea, or to keep up to date, just google Top IG accounts to follow, you could never go wrong by checking what the best in the business are doing.

We usually post 2-3 a day. There is the odd day we don't post anything mind you. We have an auto detail business as well as a wax page. It seemed straight forward getting to around 20k on each then it seemed to go really slow.

I've been having a look around this forum last night and I see people are hitting hitting at least 1000 a day, I'm just hoping I can fine tune my approach.

I use instagress to do the following and unfollowing.
I used to use Crowdfire quite a lot, however, the instagram functions no longer work.

If someone can give me the magic recipe, we can at the very least get some samples out haha

I'd also just like to point out i struggle with making up generic comments. I like to think I can be creative. However, "I'd like to take a ride in this beauty" landed me in a real toe curling situation when searching for tags like detailing car wash etc.
