Latest Algo Update Meta Desc Displayed Old Date

I have noticed that recently google has indexed old date in the meta description, now even pages are shown with the old date as well, after checking the post/page published and modified date, none of the date matching what google shown, is that meaning it's harder to manipulate dates in the future

Ive just noticed this on my site. Its a oage i update twice a week - its now showing from sep 2013

Not sure, could be a glitch or could be an update to deal with date issues.

I am facing this problem too with one of my sites. Google brings my recently released posts to 2013.
